Hi everyone, finally, after 3 weeks of alteration waiting, I picked up my Canali's. They are great. But the story is my new Zegna suit that I bought today. Its retailed at $2100 CAD but paid $800 including Tax at Harry Rosen Outlet. Its regular Zegna (black label). Its canvased, and well made. But its made in spain. Why is this? I thought Zegna is Italy origin .. [IMG]

    Hey, where's the harry outlet?

I always go to Harry in Montreal or Toronto on Bloor, didn't know they had an outlet. What's your measurements?

    Sounds like a killer deal.

yeah it is. No reason to pay $1800 for Canali or $2100 for Zegna. I paid one Canali for 900 and other Canali for 1200. They both retail about $1800.

Harry outlet is located near air port in missisuagua. area called Heartland. Search web for it .. Heartland has many other BIG outlets as well.

Is Harry the only nice outlet there?

I'm thinking of going to woodbrige or whatever... they have an outlet store for some really really top designer stuff. $5000 there could really set you up for a few years.

I don't mind paying top dollar for the really important garments like my suits and tuxes, but for nice clothes with trivial purposes (clubbing etc) I don't see a reason to pay high prices.

If I remember correctly, Zegna has factories in Italy, Spain, and Switzerland. Maybe a couple of other countries as well. It really does not matter where it is made, I have noticed no difference in the quality.

Well, I don't know WoodBrigde area at all. Harry outlet has lot of suits. Most of them are fused. But Canali selection is wide.

From now on, I am not buying fused suit for sure. Then I'll consider fit and the look. Then price.

Again Mr. Harris .. thanks for the info. Zegna's quality is indeed good. I can not tell difference bet. Zegna and Canali in terms of quality, but compared to my Brioni .. these two labels are no match.

Harry Rosen at times also has some Zegna articles made in Mexico. I was told about some inferior quality suits from someone at work. I am not sure if they were the Sport line since I didn't see them myself.

Milano style: I have found that Italian suits are the best. I can stand it when the "Italian" name brand, is made in another country. I am always looking at the label.....

I would have been pissed of if i paided the suit at retail and found out the suit was made in Spain. But I am not mad at all. I found it odd. Even Armani Collezioni makes most of items in Hong Kong, but the suits are being made in Italy. I expected Zegna to be the same.

But all in all the suit looks good. It like thin light grey funnel fabric that is soft and has 'stretch' to it ..
