Pick stitching on the vest too?

During the recent Nordstrom anniversary sale I ordered a MTM Abboud suit. One of the options is pick stitching. I know this is not real pick stitching and was just added by a machine to their average jacket but my question isn't about that. I also ordered a vest at the same time but they put the order in as two separate orders presumably because they forgot to order the vest the first time. The suit came in and the stitching and everything else looked fine. The vest had yet to arrive so I haven't seen it yet. I have a sneaking suspicion that they will have forgotten to order pick stitching on the vest.

My question is this... If the jacket has pick stitching around the edges, lapel, pocket, etc. should the vest also have the same around the edges and pocket? I would think so but I'm not sure what's "normal". I don't know if they'll tell me that it's not an option just so they don't have to order a new one or if that's the truth.

Thanks!

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
