There have been threads on what interview ties fresh grads should have, and I've been wondering what you guys have in your closets for those extremely formal occasions, like a job interview, and for very conservative professions such as law or traditional banking.

Could you guys post photos of the staples you have for these occasions (and not the classic Brooks ties)?

That tie just says you're a hunter, you're fierce, you do things your own way, you can take any enemy down easy, and you need to hibernate during the winter.

How awesome would it be to get through an entire interview with flying colors and only upon being officially offered the job, open your jacket and show that baby?

Depends - do they still send the offer letter afterwards?

Here's a closeup of my beaut of an interview tie, against a horizontal stripe Gordon Gekko shirt.

But for real, I'd recommend a navy with cream pin dot tie. Maybe even some sort of blue repp stripe tie, like a Brooks #1.

As a banker who interviews prospective hires, I can tell you that I really don't care what tie the interviewee is wearing. Though he might get some sartorial bonus points for an Hermes.
