Until you posted this thread, I completely forgot about the photos made when we stayed in Paris on the way from Cargese to our home in California. We wandered around the Paris Auto Show for a couple of hours. Here are some images of the 908 RC from the show.

This year's show had some truly interesting cars and we took many, many photos. I will sort through all of them and post the best images on another thread to prevent the topic from wandering away from the 908 RC.

By the way, the car looks enormous in person. I normally don't like big cars, however, this car is really pretty in person.

All we need for them is to redo their beast, the 205 GTi properly again for the new millenium. Wish we could hear again that snarky engine tone (or even better the Group B engine noise

)
I must say that for a long time the 206cc was on the list of possible vehicles for me to acquire when I end up back in Europe.

Who doesn't love the Group B homologation specials? My personal favorite will always be the Cossie. Some day I'll get one of them, by any means necessary (i.e. grey).

Well, I would want at a minimum a lancia Stratos, a Ferrari GTO (pity it never got to race) and of course a Lancia Delta S4!

P.s. seen this? Love it - the sound of the pressure release valve of the Quattro S1 is heartstopping!

Good news: it's beautiful
Bad news: they're putting a 2.2 ltr turbo 4 in it

One of the great auto mags put-downs of all time, Mean Jean (reviewing the old 505, IIRC): "this car has turbo lag like PBS has telethons."

If it were to go in production, maybe it would share powertrain with the OTHER 908...

Peugeot has been successful in prototype racing before, Audi may have found their match after all these years of lacklustre private entries from other manufacturers. Two teams putting high velocity diesel missiles in Le Mans will be spectacular

Since you brought up the other 908 . . . here's another image of the 908 Sports Racer from the Paris Auto Show.
(By the way, I haven't forgotten to make photos of my uncle's bespoke Sulka military shirts for you. I only need to get the shirts and a camera in the same location!)

While we're at it, let's add a photo of its diminutive cousin the Spider 207!

Finally, here's a detail of the 908RC that I didn't include previously. It certainly is a little bit of a cat's eye. But, isn't Marchal

a French company?

Thanks FC!

I think the current Peugeot family fascia is bar none the best in the industry. Even if the logo were not there, it practically looks like a lion (especially the little 206)
