Any experience with these? Saw a few at Nordstrom Rack over the weekend and was impressed with the fabrics, but found the construction to be a bit stiff. Lapel width was spot on, though, and the thick, kissing buttons on the sleeve were a nice touch. For around $250, they seemed to be an OK deal, but with no experience with this brand, I hesitated to dive in. Anyone know anything about these? Thanks in advance.

They're a decent deal at that price. I did some work last summer for a retailer that sold Millar. Your description is appropriate. I've seen a couple of the same cloths they used from a couple of seasons back on new Oxxford this season at Saks.

They err on the boxy side but a tailor can solve that. Construction is nothing special. I've seen them retailing around $800 which is too high, IMO. However, people I know that have them have gotten good mileage out of them.

By the way, I am not certain but I suspect they may be stopping dress clothes ready-to-wear and just doing MTO/MTM via local businesses. They're focused more on golf wear etc and their sport coats always tended to fit that country club aesthetic.

Thanks for the feedback. Are they fully-canvassed?

I just picked up a Peter Millar 7-Fold tie at Filenes Basement for $29.99. Excellent construction, very well made. I know its not a suit, but thought Id add that.

A SA at Nordstrom's in Minneapolis told me that Peter Millar is canvassed and not fused, was he lying to me?
