Ercolino and Peterman seems like strange pairing. Ercolino, I thought, only does bespoke, and it's pricey, even by London standards. I didn't think he had the capabilty to produce higher numbers of RTW shoes at a competitive price. And his name is not well known enough to drive RTW sales if they are simply rebadged shoes. I wonder what explains this.

This is the riddle, I think. Ercolino seems to admit that the shoes are not made in-house. And yet the prices are astronomical. Custom-made--described on the site as, "The client selects the last shape, leather and style. I match your individual measurements to the closest fitting standard last size."--starts at $2600. Bespoke starts $1000 higher.
There are an awful lot of fine options when you go above $2500.
