I love white shirts. I think nothing looks better with a pair of jeans. Because of my affection for them, I am always on the lookout for a new one that reflects current trends. After years of full cut oxford cloth button downs and many nice larger spread collar Borrelli a few Charvets and others at all price points, I am wondering what the SF has to recommend for an interesting new white shirt (that is not super trim, like Band of Outsiders). Any suggestions?

I can't get enough of my T & A Sea Island cotton. Man, this stuff is sleek. It feels better on than when I hang it on its hanger.

I'm not familiar with "current trends," and I'm not sure what that means in the context of a white shirt, but Brooks had one recently in its Luxury line that was made from a delicious soft cotton twill with a spread collar. I have one and I love it.

Brooks Brothers Slim Fit Oxford Cloth Button Down. Don't know how interesting it is, but I like it.

My favorite white shirt is a slim Udeshi white oxford with cutaway collar* and cocktail cuffs. It is simply perfect

    * not the GlennieÂ[IMG] version. the other one...

And where would one find a photo of an Udeshi (a quick Google wasn't a lot of help) and who sells them? Cocktail cuffs......I like the sound of that but I don't know the shape....

defunct Bestofbritishshirts.com used to sell them. That's where I bought my Udeshi shirts. Not many pics on the net now that that site is down. Sometimes, they pop up on eBay. Oscar Udeshi is also a member here and on AAAC, although he posts there more often than here

Cocktail cuffs = James Bond cuffs. i.e. similar to French cuff but with barrel type buttoning, not cufflinks

I too am a white shirt freak. In fact I probably wear them 3 days out of 5 every work week. boring I know but I love em. and I agree, nothing looks better with a pair of jeans than a clean white shirt.

My current favorite is the one I'm wearing right now, it's my BB Black Fleece oxford. It'll be great for winter since the cloth is quite heavy. My favorite part is that the damn thing doesn't really wrinkle. It looks pressed right now in fact.

The standard BB oxford in the slim fit used to be my favorite but it's not quite up to the level of the new black fleece ones. (I have already purchased 3 of them if that tells you anything.)

I like the idea of that. A cool way to add something to a white shirt......

I am a big fan of royal oxford fabrics from Kiton and Borrelli. I have a white one from Borrelli in cocktail cuffs.

Cocktail cuffs are pretty cool. I haven't seen them anywhere. For wearing with jeans, I usually like a twill weave with barrel cuffs and wider collar.
