In some cultures, fainting, screaming, moaning is expected. In China for example, some families hire professional cryers during funerals. In Latin cultures, if none of the immediate family cries or faints during a funeral, it would be suspect. Not everyone live like the Windsors during Princess Diana's funeral.
This was also common in ancient Egypt, or so I have read.
Now back to what the thread was about, I dont see it rude to be overcome by the situations as usually fainting is involuntary, BUT in my case no one at the funeral knew the guy, he was just some random dude (who later was trying to bum a ride from anyone to go to the free food) which kinda pissed me off. Just a little.
