Is there a final verdict on how much bigger to buy 501xxs?

I've looked all over the web and am getting answers ranging from +1 waist +2 inseam to +3 waist +4 inseam.

If this is the penultimate thread, when will we see the ultimate thread?

I think you can be fairly confident that this will prove to be neither.

Unfortunately, all the links in that thread are dead. And is it me, or is the other SF's search function jacked up?

[Muttering under breath] Not that you couldn't have searched here...

Ahem. Anyway, buy a few sizes; find the one that you can barely button, and go up one from that. It may shrink a bit too much for your liking at first, but it'll stretch back out quite a bit.

Links aren't dead, you just have change "http://superfuture.com/city/supertalk/" to "http://supertalk.superfuture.com/" and then add the thread.

SuFu usually is a better resource for definitive threads since a lot of stuff here got lost in the crash a while back.

Pardon my hyperbole.

Regardless, I searched on this site (and google) and found mixed answers so I figured I'd ask with the hope that you'd all respond with something resembling a consensus.

it's something like 1" on the waist, 3" on the length.. but bigger sizes 36+ are 2" on the waist, 4" on the length...

or something like that...

I did the unthinkable and searched google for "shrink to fit levis." Sure enough, the very first link was: http://www.swainsinc.com/storeframe....html~mainFrame Curiously enough, they offered Levi's STF recommendations which I'll post because c'mon, who really clicks links anymore? That's soooo 2005. "HOW TO BUY SHRINK-TO-FIT JEANS WAIST Add 1" to waist sizes 28"-36" Add 2" to waist sizes 38"-46" LENGTH Add 3" to lengths 29"-34" Add 4" to lengths 36"-Up Example - to fit size 34x30 order size 35x33 "

Ok well they do usually shrink about an 1" in the waist and maybe..hm, 1-1.5" in the inseam. I got a 30x32, (I am a 29x30). I don't know, I never wear my Levi's anymorer, kind of a waste to buy them.
