I'm hoping the collective wisdom of SF can help me figure out what to do with some new Rancourt loafers that were just delivered. First, I should say that the quality is fantastic and they're incredibly comfortable. I'm a 3E and Rancourt is one of the few that make a wide option.
The problem is that there is a little heel slippage. And I'm nervous the problem will get worse as the loafers break in (they are unlined). Assuming I can't try a 1/2 size smaller in NYC (stores rarely carry wide widths), what's the best option? Tongue pad? Return for 1/2 size smaller (which may then be too small)? Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.
