I'm searching for some suede penny loafers and found some options below, which ones do you think is the nicest? Or do you have any other recommendations?

    Loake Eton

    Herring Broadway

    Herring Charlton

    Herring Heath

I really like the Herring Heath, but it's only available in dark brown suede, when I would rather get one in a lighter brown shade, like the other models I've linked to here.

I've never been a huge fan of the penny loafer - but I am a huge endorser of the Tassel Loafer. Not the "Penny-with-tassels" type the slightly slimmer, more elongated version like Herring's Ascot II - they do them in a nice dark brown suede too.

Can't stand tassels. Stupid little dongles dangling off your shoe. A step up from a kiltie, but still not attractive.

I would go with the loake.

Out of those three I think I prefer the Loake Eton, though only for superficial reasons. I don't like the extra stitching on the Broadway or Charlton and the colour of the Heath is not as nice. As you've already said, the Heath in a lighter colour would be great, it's a shame if they don't do that.

+1 ...OP I am looking at the exact models you posted..I am down between Eton and Charlton. As what SA noted, if Heath comes in a lighter shade, that would be my pick for sure. But for what my intended use/purpose, I may get the Eaton..
