    I enjoy it but with a bit of sadness juts like general antique shows. It always emphasizes to me the inadequacy and utter ugliness of modern designs.

    Just returned from the Concours as well as several auctions and a community
    Vintage and Classic Car exhibit in Pacific Grove. As those who have attended
    the Concours know, major vendors exhibit "concept cars" and their present models
    at the various entrances to the main show. Medwed's comments are very apt.
    With several notable exceptions, the older designs trump the contemporary,
    especially when they are seen together.
