There is an absolute flood of PDC 2yr jeans, LTD cut, on ebay. I've been buying them right and left as these are my favorite jeans. Anybody know where they are coming from??

I have nearly a dozen pair of Paper Denims and about two dozen pairs of jeans altogether, so please, don't tempt me no more. Or course, if anyone can find Corpus on sale, or even Nudies, do tempt me. PM me, in fact...

I've been wondering about the LTDs as well, but I'm getting worried about the fakes appearing more and more often. They're clearly not authentic, and in fact they look like crap, but I hope PDCs are not the latest pick of extremely zealous and productive counterfeiters.

If you are worried, just PM me.  I am *very* familiar with all the details on Paper Denim jeans (having nearly a dozen pairs, with examples of nearly every cut (the GTS and the SLM and the style with the back strap that lasted only one season being the exceptions), from the stitching to the labels and label placements (there are 2 variations) to which types of rivets were used on what areas, in which season (they use at least 2 kinds of rivets on currect jeans, and the rivets and button details have changed over their 4 or five years in production.)

BTW, there are, imo, a lot of Paper Denims on Ebay because the production is wonkier than nearly any other company (sizes can vary a lot from batch to batch), and some of the washes are hard for launderies to do.  Accidently rips from the grinding processes and other mistakes at the launderies seem to be commonplace for some models.  The LTD Vision comes to mind immediately.  A little off, and seconds they are.  Even in retail stores, check out the *huge* variations in the LTD Visons.

If you are in a retail store, check out the back of the legs. As I've written before, Paper Denim washes are *very* inconsistent, and the whiskering on the back of the legs can range from non-existent (as on the pair of GTO-01's I am wearing now) to very pronounced (my original pair of GTO-01s). If you are buying on Ebay, ask for a picture of the entire back of the legs and determine for yourself. If the whickering at the back of the knees is faint or non-existant, go for it. Otherwise, take a pass.

Speaking of GTO-1 years, LA Guy, have you had much luck finding them in stores lately? I can never seem to find them in B&M anymore, and I've found only a few sites that have them (eLuxury, Blaec). My pair has precious little life left (have to get a major hole repaired, and the denim's wearing thin elsewhere), and I still prefer the GTOs to Earnest Sewn Hutches.

Faded Blue in Scottsdale Arizona carries them for $174. Saks (at least in Boston) carries them as well. Barneys also has them, both online and instore, last I checked (last month.)

Blaec.com has the best prices online though, that I can find. And check the coupon site on Reesycakes.com. Blaec will usually match a competing sites coupon code, or at least give a discount. There was, at least last night, a "special" pair of 33s on sale at goclothing.com too, if you are a 33/30

Thanks for the tip. With a code, $90 for a pair of GTOs that won't need alteration ... sweet.

Sevcom, Will add you to the list (j., shoreman, maybe Brian?) who owe me cash. I'd say in your case, $38 is appropriate, it covers the savings code, the link, and the alterations. Ah, APC hoodie, come to daddy. Maybe a new pair of Anglaises too. BTW, None of you have PMed me yet. Triads visit = bad. I'm a reasonable guy; and I know it was the weekend. But it's Monday now, and my patience is a wearing thin [IMG]

Hey buddy, I already pre-ordered that APC hoodie and you can have it if you pry it from my cold dead hands. And you have to do it yourself, no tried-cheating.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....10&rd=1 Would something like that be a fake? I could use a pair of lighter colored jeans and I might as well go quality if I can get them for 60-70, but I don't want to get ripped off at the same time. Any comments on authenticity?

Check out honestforum. It's a forum that specializes in determining the authenticity of clothing items on ebay. In my own personal experience, I found that it was just too time consuming verifying authenticity to worth checking out ebay for jeans.
