You should tell him he looks like a douche and to burn that tie.

Fine should be dismissed if they don't want to accept the payment in pennies. Obviously he's doing it to "get back at them" but it's still legal tender and cash so I don't see any basis for them to not accept it because it's an inconvenience or whatever.

They need to accept the pennies as cash payment.

I don't see what the problem is, they are rolled and boxed. Just accept it and take it to the bank. It's not like he brought in a giant bag of pennies.

He mentioned that he could just write his drivers license number on the rolls and turn them in? He should do that.

I think that's standard operating procedure to put your SSN or other identification on the rolls in case one turns up a few cents +/-.

Some guy here paid his taxes in pennies... they accepted the payment but only AFTER he rolled all the pennies. Twas funny cuz he was pissed when they interviewed him on the local news - he had gone to the bank, got all the pennies (which were rolled), unrolled them and dumped them in a wheelbarrow, which he pushed into the county's tax office. He had to get all the pennies re-rolled... and he ended up being two days late and had to pay a late fee.

So after this kid did something to warrant a traffic fine, rather than own up to it and pay the fine and learn something from it, he decides to be a douche and inconvienence everyone else rather than being an adult.

I wonder how many road side chats it is going to take for him to realize he should have just paid the ticket like any guilty party. He just made his life more interesting, that's for sure.

I think if I lived in a place called NUTly, I might want to stay off the news making an ass of myself.

I love it. I've been given tickets that were complete bullshit before, so I empathize with him.

After watching one episode of "Parking Wars" on A&E, you'll consider this guy a folk hero. good for him.

+1. What I do with parking tickets is wrap the envelope in duct tape and affix a curt memo on the cheque.
