Paul Stuart CHICAGO sale - 50% OFF EVERYTHING

Just stopped by the Paul Stuart sale in Chicago downstairs at Hancock. The store is apparently moving, so EVERYTHING in the store is 50% off, some things 70% off.

As far as I could tell that includes all those nice shoes.. EG or Grenson, anyone?

Yep. Paul Stuart are pretty flexible in my experience. If you know somone there I'd call them. I'm going to. But you need to know what you want.

Can someone please verify this? In another tread is was stated the high-end shoes will not be on sale. All high-end shoes would be moved to the new location.

I am having the hardest time getting a friend to stop by the store on my behalf ... if any Chicago members would be willing to pick up a pair of shoes for me, I would gladly pay a bit extra.

When I called I was told the English shoes were not on sale. Only the "fashion forward" shoes.

The shoes (grenson) were on sale. Got a pair w/ lasted shoe trees for $339. Picked up a bag, belt and couple of pairs of socks.

Basically everything on the floor is 50-70% off. The saleslady did tell me that some things were pulled off the floor before starting the sale.

Can anyone comment in general as to the quality of these shoes. I am trying to find out specifically who makes them and where they stand, on a scale compared to Aldens, and AE's.

I really like the look of their Tan Blucher Wing Tip.
