Does anyone know who makes these? General quality?

Soles are stamped - Made in England.

When I asked the effete little clerk in the Soho boutique he replied, "In a factory?"

Thanks,

are you talking about his "British Collection" shoes?

they are the only ones currently made in England. They are made by Joseph Cheaney

http://www.cheaney.co.uk/

The Paul Smith - London line are made in India and Italy..... by who? I dunno

I was looking at them in brown. Comfort and quality?

There are a few on the Cheaney site that look quite nice.

Comfort-wise, my PS shoes are the only ones I own that have not needed any real break in before feeling comfortable. The first day I wore my British Collection boots I went dancing at a soul all-niter and the shoes never pinched or showed signs of discomfort. same goes with my other PS shoes....no break in period needed for me.

Construction...the BC, mainline, and london shoes are all goodyear welted. My PS line shoe is blake stitched, but the nature of its design wouldnt work being welted. I know no one else here gives a **** about Paul Smith shoes but if you get them on sale, they'll run about $200-300 and are good bargains given the quality of leather and construction.

We stand alone, then.

I agree that those boots on sale are worth it. No sales at the PS store until the new year. Who doesn't have a pre-Christmas sale?

There are a some shoes at NM right now on sale. Made in India though.

Thanks,

yesterday they had a one day 10% off sale, not much savings, but it was enough for my fiancee to get me mainline cotton trousers for my Xmas gift

they're having their 40-50% sale a bit earlier this year than last, around the beginning of Jan

Get Smart : You posted a pic with some great Paul Smith brogues a while ago i think, are those the Starr brogues from paul smith?
They looked so good, the best brogues i've seen anywhere, how do you find the sizing on them, true to size or larger? I usually wear a 42,5 or 43 Euro, and once i tried a pair of PS paul smith shoes in UK 9 (which usually is euro 43 approx), they felt like a size too large, if not more.

I have a pair of boots that are the Starr wingtips but as a 7 eyelet boot, I think that's what you are referring to.

I've found PS shoes are fairly true to size. If anything they might run a *tad* large but EU41 fit me perfect, which is my normal size.

guys, I bought Paul Smith shoes a year and half ago and I love the shape there after I bought 3 more but the shape first one had was remarkable and am still in love with those shoes. I tried to by one more pair but that shape is no more available on their website. can someone help me to know who supply them the shoes so that I may approach directly for additional pair. the shape is sleek and delicate and can't be a UK supplier. most probably an Italian supplier. please help if someone knows.

Regards
