Paul Butterfield Blues Band had the Midas touch man. Everyone who touched it became gold. Played with Dylan at the early parts of his career (although obviously he was famous before 1965). I don't think Steve Miller was ever actually a part of the band, but it is pretty well known that he would jam with them and learned a lot from them in his early career. Hell, that's how he met Muddy Waters and Buddy Guy.
