Thinking of buying a Patrizia Pepe suit. Anyone have thoughts on the quality of tailoring/cloth/cut? I tried on a 36 and fit it me very well but I'm not sure on the overall quality of the suit.

Thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

They look like trendy garbage....at least when I googled Patrizia Pepe and looked at their "collection".

It definitely does look like it going for the most fashionable look, but it looks better than some of the more famous designers. Definitely a young man's look, but looks like better quality than H and M or Zara. I have nothing to base that of other than the site, though. Where are you hoping to buy one of these suits?

The one I was looking at was at Daffy's. It was more of a classic cut in brown but the material looked suspect and I wasnt sure about its durability. It fit very well but the color made me iffy about the purchase.

My experience with PP is fairly limited, but from what I've seen (mostly in Japan), it is as others have described: a lower/entry-level Italian designer with younger, trendier items. Probably less than or fairly related to Boss in quality level, though probably with cheaper fabrics. Cuts will be slimmer, but overall keep in mind that this is a brand more interested in Seasonal/Trend-setting fashion design and not sartorial quality or durability. SO, if you like the suit and it looks good on you, go for it. BUT, if you are expecting to keep this for 15 years, I'd look elsewhere. I wouldn't buy one, personally, but if I were in the market, I probably wouldn't pay more than $175-200.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
