Partying in Brooklyn

So I will be in NY next weekend for a friend's bachelor party. It'll be about 12 guys (no joke) renting a pretty large loft apartment in Park Slope. What are some trendy, fun, but not particularly fancy (flip flops, sneakers, boat shoes allowed) bars, restaurants we should put on our radar? We'll be going to 1 or 2 basketball games at the Barclay's center while there so we'll have to plan our dinner or recreation around them but some ideas would be appreciated.

A fun, but fairly cheap ($25 max) bottomless brunch in the borrough would be nice.

Ha-hah. I didn't choose the location (which is pretty sick actually) and the group are largely low-key types that would frown at bottle service or anything too trendy (hence most of my ideas have largely been ignored). Just seeing if there were chill spots to check out in Brooklyn since I've never hung out there before.

Park slope is a nice neighborhood, for families with children.

There are some pretty chill spots in Prospect Heights, Park Slope North/Barclay's area. Just yelp man, it's actually not a bad representation of the bars around there.

They are all really low key though.

Take your middle-of-winter-flip-flop wearing friends to Floyd in Brooklyn Heights. Indoor bocce ball and cheap beer.

Had a great time. Pleasantly surprised with Brooklyn. Made out with a stunner at Zombie Hut on Saturday night but somehow managed to lose her. My one regret of the weekend. By the way, Clover Club is pretty great.

happy hour in the clover club is my new favourite thing. couple of cocktails and steak on toast for $7 each, hard to argue with it.

I find their cocktails are vastly overpriced compared to other places in Bk and Mn. You get less too in the dinky glasses.

that's true. i'd find it hard to spend a lot of time there at full price.
