Wow you're definitely someone who wears his social status bc that's the only way you can satisfy your superiority complex. It's always someone who lacks something who makes up with materialism and expensive things for a sense of brand affiliation. How about you shut your trap because wherever you are at this point in your life that allows you criticize people for buying what they can only afford, might one day be gone. Your flossy ass attitude sure doesn't pair well with being "broke status" if you were one day to lose your job. Oh but being that you're such a kind person and all, no one would wish that on you lol. You got a problem? Then how bout you take action and report these "infringements" to the patent offices you douche instead of attacking and complaining to non malicious posters. Until then let the man buy whatever he wants lol. Wish you the best of luck and that someone might knock you off your high horse!

Ignore the psycho who complains about knock offs but yet doesn't take action to report it. No point in complaining and attacking you when he won't take action against Parnis' borderline infringements to the "patent offices". All you were doing was asking a simple question. Clearly a hypocrite. Buy what you like until it's formally declared that buying this product is an offense.

    1. Some people think people who wear real Panerais are douches.

    2. Most of the Parnis line are iterations of classic designs used at some time by multiple watch manufacturers, enough that they are fairly generic.

    3. I'd try to take a look at one in the flesh before buying. Avoid getting one with a display back, as you'll see production shortcuts that are disappointing.

    4. There are other brands which offer better quality for a similar price point, such as Orient.

    5. No need to call people douche over a choice in watches, generally.

    6. Copyright law is out of control.

Good luck with that my friend !! BMW have tried that and many Major chemical companies (we're talking bulti billion global companies who have patented process's and products here) have tried that and in one case the actual Chinese Govt bought the Chinese company and the whole litigation went away !! I would suspect, with the greatest of respect my friend, that they couldnt give a flying f**k about a $100 watch and would tell you to shove your litigation up your ass !! But in all probability your litigation application would be "lost" at the border. Its the Chinese way I'm afraid.......... by the way Cheesy Garlic Bread is the future!! :slapfight:

I have a Parnis it looks good keeps as good time as some of my "considerably more expensive" watches and was as cheap as chips Go figure !!! I believe they're Sea-Gull inards??

I'm sure I bought mine from this guy with no probs.....

Why is it a fake? Parnis didnt advertise as a Panerai. Yes the designs are similar but they dont intend to fool you in saying that they are Panerai. At $100, i dont think anybody would think their movement or performance would be anywhere close to Panerai.

I've owned a couple Parnis watches over the yeras and still own one. I have found them to be nicely made and reliable. I won't confuse them with any IWC, Rolex, Omega, JLC or Blancpain watches that I own / have owned, but then the Parnis watches cost a fraction of the price of a strap for any of those brands.

What I like best about Parnis watches is that they get right up the nose of arrogant, elitist, douchebag watch snobs, whose desperate insecurity sends them into fits of hilarious indignation at the very mention of the brand.

You seem to understand that these watches are not heirloom pieces that will be treasured by your descendants for generations. They are fun, cheap and look nice. Making the badge whores crazy is all part of the fun. [IMG] Enjoy.

I thought the title of this thread was "penis watches," which begs the question, why did I click it?

Use "shitty" and "knockoff-wearing douche" to describe someone who just looking for fun IS RUDE and ALWAYS RUDE, unless you are a redneck with no education at all then I would completely understand your logic of "not to be rude" or else you are just have heavy misunderstanding on basic language usage.

For all the CNC machine involved building in Rolex and Panerai and even their relatively new corrosive resistant Super Case plus movements and manual labour costs, still ain't going to cost you thousands of grands to make such a watch. It's all about branding, do some research about the prices dealers get from Rolex, you will know how much they earn from you.

Wearing Panerai is fun and be chill with it with fellow Panerai fans are great but wearing a Panerai and try to pretend you were aristocrat or whatever and could get chicks is DISTASTEFUL. Be a douche with a Panerai? Completely distasteful.

Even wearing a 100 grand up MilSub is not going to get you confidence and class, if you think expensive things can make you confident and classy, you are gamed. Class and confidence are qualities of` real men and real men rely on their intelligence, determination and kindness, they are all subtle, not showy. They know the value of something NOT the "price" of them. They don't care if people call them hero or not.

If you still don't get it

    Then

    1. You're the douche

    2. I have a very nice oceanfront mansion priced at twenty grand USD per square feet for sale and it's around 10000 SQ FT (do the math yourself) including basement in one of the major city on earth, PM me if you are interested, I mean seriously interested.

    douche

Now pics or it didn't happen.

Also, Parnis is okay, but you can get nice dated timepieces for $100-$200, even some seiko, timex, rado etc... I have a seamaster (quartz) that I picked up for ~$180. Might as well take that approach and get some quality, and at the same time build up your knowledge base on the subject as you research and try learn more.
