Does anyone have any good recommendations for brands that focus on producing quality long-lasting parkas? I'd like a Canada Goose, but I don't have a spare €1200 in my back pocket...

Moose Knuckles, Nobis, Mackage, Woolrich, Parajumpers.

All of these with the exception of Canada Goose and Moose Knuckles can be found on sale towards the end of the season. There are more than these companies course but a few of them that came to mind easily. By the way I have more than a few Canada Goose and find my Parajumper to be of greater quality. However because the down portion is removable and the unique design find it would not be as warm as some of the Canada Goose coats. As with anything do your research before purchasing.

Check out Spier & Mackay.
If they have your size left, they are tremendous value.

Frizmworks makes a great one, a bunch of people here picked it up last winter. it's in the 200-300 range I believe.

I think they're out of season now but I bet they'll be re-stocked in the next few months, I got mine from the brand's site and it was significantly cheaper, just a little challenging to figure out payment and shipping.
