My wife and I are thinking of taking our first trip to Europe in October. We're considering 7-9 days split between Paris and London. How are both cities in October?

    Thanks, H_S.

I was in London for 5 days in October and it was outstanding, simply perfect weather.

If I were you I'd prefer August or September. October however iss good, too. It's more cloudy and cooler.

I was thinking that too, but the problem with August and London is the Olympics. That doesn't preclude September though. I'll consider it as well. How different would the weather be between September and October, assuming typical weather?

Hardly any difference worth mentioning you could hit a spell of good or bad weather in either month, on a purely statistical basis September may be a degree or two warmer but I would not let that be a factor in deciding which month to go.

Well, you gotta know it since you live there. I thought it would be more like 2-5°C.

You're planning a trip 10 months in advance?

a tad windy and chilly. if youve lived in alabama for a long time, then absolutely freezing cold.
with 9 days, id split it 2 in london and 7 in paris.

It just occurred to me that the Congress of Neurological Surgeons meeting is at the beginning of October, so now we're thinking September.
