Has anyone got any information on Paola da Ponte shoes? I have very broad feet and these fit me well - or they did when I tried them in the shop - and seem to be of a reasonable quality.

They are very expensive and rare shoes but you can sometimes find them if you look hard. I have a pair that are a tad too small for me

size 43 which is 9.5 australia I have tried to sell them but 99% of people aren't looking for them. Just keep your eye out on ebay and yopu'll find some under 200 someday

I thrifted as pair at Vinnies in Sydney which I polished up and sold on the Fedora Lounge. They were a split toe with a sort of modern spade sole. They were excellent leather and stylish but I think they may have been blaked or glued I could not tell nor could my cobbler.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
