Hey Everyone,

I know Incotex gets a lot of love around here and I have 3 pairs that I really like. I like a slim fitted pants (rise 9-10.25 inches, and leg opening 7-8 inches) that is soft to the touch. Any chance people could rank the following brands based on their experience on quality?

From Yoox:
Les Hommes
Maison Margiela
Belvest
Incotex
Corneliani
Michael Bastian
Luigi Bianchi Montova

Non Yoox
Howard Yount

Appreciate the advice and if there is a great brand you like on yoox please feel free to add.

Regards,
Mark

I would stay with these two:

Maison Marginal: will have more interesting cuts, if your into "fashion"
Incotex: will be more conservative, but likely more lux fabrics.

Also consider Panta, does MTM pants for under $400, which rank up there with the best.

Thanks Yorker. I just sent an email over to Edmoral to see what he has in size 30 for Panta. Thanks!

I've been through several pairs of Belvest pants and liked them, but I am firmly of the opinion that if you can have something made to what you want for the same amount of money, then you should do that.

Once I obtained a Yoox code late last night from a kind member I pulled the trigger on one pair of each of the following Belvest, Incotex and Michael Bastian. The Maison Margiela sold right before I had a chance to buy. I got the 3 pairs for under $300 total so worth a purchase as I do have one pair of Michael Bastian and 3 of Incotex and really like the slim fit. I have a Belvest blazer which I just bought and really like on eBay so worth a try of the pant especially at the price I got.

Ed got back to me really quick (appreciated) and he only had the grey flannel in his current listing and a brown tweed pair for size 30. Priced well above what I usually shell out for pants so I am going to ponder the purchase. I recently lost weight and abandoned around 15 pairs so want to make sure I stay put and don't bounce back. They were not my favorite anyways so wasn't a big loss and luckily did not spend much on any of the pairs. Still a waste of $ especially since they are all under a year old. I haven't had the best luck with getting pants taking in because it still doesn't fit right every where else since the pants where not slim fit to begin with.

I am rambling now... I might just have to wait for another sample, prior season or oh crap who left those pants on the floor for 6 months sale from Panta as I would definitely like to try at least one pair of their wool pants especially with all the high opinion of people on this forum.
Regards,
Mark
