Pants too long in the crotch: what can be done?

I've had pants that were too long in the crotch and my tailor took them in in the seat. This could be done only when there was adequate room beneath the zipper. The fit was improved tremendously.

Talk to your tailor. I had a pair of APC pants with the same problem and my tailor was able to shorten them by effectively cutting and re-sewing the waistband an inch lower. This, of course, gave the pockets and odd proportion, but with casual pants it might be worthwhile.

buy yourself a XXXL white tee, a massive Braves baseball cap, a thick gold rope chain, some blindingly white tennis shoes and roll with it.

Either grow a pair or consult the penis enlargement spam emails.

Otherwise give it up.

See post #6 in that thread, which makes the same distinction we're trying to make here.

The crotch cannot be "taken up" because you would need, in effect, to lengthen the inseam, which can't be done by cutting. If you think about it, you'll see why.

Start going commando and persuade your bollocks to sag a little. If not, just keep 'em by; they'll come in real handy when you're 70.
