I have a high waist, proportionally a shorter torso. What styles of trousers should I look at buying that fit my body type and not accentuate my high waist?

I have the same problem. But I have never been able to find "Slim, with a lower rise and fitted seat?" pants. So I basically wear regular pants low and end up looking like I am walking around with a load in my pants.

Just pull your pants up. there is no real negative value associated with having long legs. Short legs is far worse.

You can have that fixed at the tailor, you know. They will take in the seat for you, it's pretty common.

So I would just ask the tailor to "take in the seat"?
