So, later this month I'll be backpacking for a few days and thought about just wearing jeans. However, I was thinking how awful it would be if my legs got sweaty...
Does anyone know of some decent pants for hiking, preferably in a more slim fit?

Jeans would be a bad choice. Depending on the weather conditions, nylon pants might be best, but nylon isn't exactly stylish. Zip-off pants might be okay, too. And there's no budget, size, hiking location, etc. mentioned.

Frankly, it sounds like you need to learn more about hiking before you go on the trip.

Sorry for leaving out the details. Ill be backpacking in the Porcupine Mountains at the end of August... I ended up picking up a pair of some zip-off pants.

I'm worried about you, mate. The fact that you were considering wearing jeans shows a lack of basic outdoor knowledge -- which is fine. But the fact that you're asking for advice here suggests that you don't have an experienced trip leader to answer your questions -- and that's not fine. If you were just going car camping I'd say "Have a good trip," but if you are truly going backpacking, I recommend taking an experienced guide or trip leader. In the wilderness, good pants are no substitute for knowledge and experience.
