Trouser leg opening vis-a-vis shoe coverage. Spoo was offering some illustrated examples.

I really like how his pants always cover the laces. Makes me wonder whether I should get a wider leg opening as well.

Mostly 8.25", some 8.75".. by memory. I have not measured lately. Most of the Pantas are 8.25. I THINK. If I remember, Ill measure and confirm.

I like my pants to cover a bit of the shoe as well to sort of balance the length with the rest of the torso.

I used to having my trousers touch a bit of the front part of the shoes.

Leg opening will vary by the persons physique and each body is different. I tried a larger leg opening, but I look like a clown so now my leg openins are roughly 15.75inchs and that suits me well and covers my shoes well....

I believe the leg opening being wide enough in proportion to shoe size and body type/size to be the most important aspect of trouser fit. 9" at minimum for me.
