I like the look of the Panerai Ferrari watches. Would someone wearing this but not owning a Ferrari car be a poser?

What do you think about these sort of licensed products in general like the Acer Ferrari laptop?

how much would those two products be without the logo? is the difference worth having a logo that adds nothing?

If I recall the ferrari Panerais are much cheaper then the original Panerai so it seems that it actualy takes some value away from it. The laptop seems kind of pointless though.

I don't see a problem with it.

i think real car people chuckle sometimes when they see someone wearing that kinda stuff and lacking the car.

It just looks like something a Ferrari owner would never buy, they would probably just buy a regular Panerai model.

Not in my experience... the Ferrari models are just as much, if not more, than the regular Panerai line. Maybe this has changed since last summer when I was last watch shopping.

Well the laptop I posted is older and it added nothing. Some carbon fiber. I didn't buy it because it was slow and a Ferrari laptop should be high performance. I think the new 1200 will be good and I'm looking at buying that one. It's also ultraportable which is the trend these days and fits better with my lifestyle.

Nobody else likes it?

I like the sportiness of the Ferrari Panerai. They have some racy designs that appeal to me. Not sure about the pricing, still in the browsing stages.

I know there's some F owners here. Do you have F accessories or is that cheesy?

If you can afford a $5,000 watch you can afford the car:

But I am getting images of Joey Tribbiani with porsche clothing and a "porsche" made out of moving boxes.

Honestly, I don't think it would be a problem. If anyone asks, tell them you like how it looks better than the standard Panerai. Aesthetically pleasing should could for much of why you wear a watch, right?

If you like the watch who cares? Besides, I wouldn't exactly call someone wearing a $5000+ watch a poser.

I owned and raced a 67' camaro from the ground up, and worked for an ex-pro stock racer who went back to racing Stock Eliminator and buying and selling muscle cars, together we built all kinds of cars, porsches (vintage, some seriously awesome cars) classic mustangs, classic camaros and chevelles.

And from experience, from an image perspective you're much better being that guy who owns a vintage or classic car, and owns some nice watches, then being that guy who wishes he had a Ferrari and owns a Panerai instead.

I think Panerai's are awesome watches, but i'd pass on that one. Put together some money and build something like a classic Porchse, Ferrari, ect. If you can afford it, join the club and get in there and build something, or have something built.

I have a hat, jacket, and some warm ups that were given to me as gifts. I wear them to bum around in sometimes. I don't think anyone assumes you own a car if you actually wear this stuff. I don't really see it as any different from wearing clothing from your favorite sports team, which I suppose is pretty damn cheesy.

As far as being a poser if you buy this watch, I say yes unless you are some sort of huge Ferrari F-1 enthusiast or something.

at least they look a lot better than the old Ferrari-Girrard Peregaux watches.
