Walked past the offices of Temasek - one of the gigantic Singaporean sovereign wealth funds - and there was a chap going to work in a perfectly tailored outfit, long fibre cotton shirt just the right shade of light blue for a not-entirely-corporate-but-acceptable classic look, impeccable haircut, gold rim glasses, chinos just the right shade of cream for our tropical clime, neither too yellow in the bright light nor too dull as would be best for London's cloudy always-winter, the belt just the right width and shade of oak, and... black wholecuts with tan soles, bright laces and yellow fun socks with motifs (I think minions). Thought of this thread.

Most probably RI then Harvard, a stint at Goldman or McKinsey for good measure and back home to start a family and get overpaid by the gov to manage its vast reserves (somewhat depleted in recent years) by buying up premium real estate around the world and piggy backing on the decisions of US PE funds. I'm not up to date on the fashionability of fun socks in that group given that I am too poor for a good class bungalow and have to rent from the likes of @Riva

The wholecuts were definitely well made so this was completely intentional.
