Hi all,
I was wondering ... What's your view on this crazy or not so crazy idea. Got myself a nice pair of Albert slippers. With the quilt lining, they are incredibly comfy, in fact they are the most comfortable shoe or footwear I have.
My choice was the classic black to make them more versatile, well as far as versatility of a velvet pair of "shoes" is concerned. At least I don't have to worry about any upcoming black tie event.
But what is your view to parade them around the office? My line of work is not client facing, am in a small office here in London. One of our directors is always impeccably dressed. the top button on shirts are always done. We have Friday dress down which translates to not having to wear a tie.
So my logic is that. If I could wear dress shoes in the office (technically ways overdressed of course), I could wear black tie footwear, so my Alberts should be fine
As a note on the side, it would not be the first time I had made an impact. A few years back when I joined, I pranced around in my bright coloured socks: red, orange, light blue... Not without consequences: within a year's time, colourful socks took on around here.
So, what's your take on the Alberts?
Thanks,
B
