Thoughts on this sportcoat for an outdoor casual summer wedding in San Diego.

Originally I was going to wear a light grey suit, but the groom told me a suit was too formal.
What should I pair the chino sportcoat with? Seersucker pants, (blue or tan stripe?), jeans? or something else? I feel like jeans would be too hot.

BTW- I am new to all this, and I am looking at that sportcoat because it is on sale, and I would probably wear it more often than something more formal anyway.

Any advise is appreciated.

It's a good price but try on in real life before buying as I tried this jacket on, and on me the fit was just off for some inexplicable reason.
Please don't wear it with jeans to a wedding.
I have two similar jackets, you can wear with navy or gray wool trousers or very light linen. Make sure the colours aren't too close. Seersucker might work too. Light blue or china blue shirt so you don't look
too washed out and maybe a gold- yellow tie.

Navy pants. I second the previous poster that this fits really boxy. It fits the model pretty poorly too. Everyone's made differently so it may fit you just fine.
