Dear Steve, I found the color matching charts in your book interesting and valuable. I note that you have black, brown, chestnut and cordovan shoes in your charts, but I was curious where you would place "chili" as used by Allen Edmonds. Obviously, it splits the difference between chestnut and brown. Would you consider it more a variation of chestnut and hence suitable only for the combos you prescribe for chestnut, or as a lighter shade of brown? Obviously, it's sort of a judgement call: For some ensembles, dark brown might be quite appropriate, but not chili, etc. Anyway, I'd love to get your opinion on this and those any other forum participants who might have thoughts on this score.
