I'm leaving on sunday for a week in puerto rico (late-ish spring break so in my experiance it won't be packed with your standard state school spring break crowds) and I need to decide what to pack.

So far I've got:
White Jeans (and probably travel in some non-raw blues)
blue gingham button down
a few polos (probably blue, green, orange)
shorts of some sort
brown suede boat shoes
flip flops
blush.gif
and swimsuits for the beach
camera - can't decide if the SLR is worth it for this trip or if the mediocre P&S is better

What else might I need? I probably need some more stuff for going out at night and another pair of shoes (especially if hiking) though I am not sure what is appropriate for the area but I am assuming everything is pretty casual.

Other activities will include (and I am open for suggestions):
Windsurfing (I think I am good for this though...should be warm enough not to bring my wetsuit)
real surfing (never tried but my Hawiian friend will help teach)
rainforesty hiking
Might rent a small boat for a day so my friends can enjoy wind/water activities as well

take a few wifebeaters. sometimes you just want to **** being stylish and just walk around not worrying about anything, especially if you'll be roughing it a bit in nature.

Holy crap...looked up some pictures of that bay and its ridiculous. Renting a kayak through there sounds pretty sweet.

Can anyone kindly direct me to the thread that was running on "What are you packing today" or something like that where people were posting photos of the stuff they packed for trips. Here's what I packed for PR but I'd like to post it in that thread instead...

Holy **** are you going to look like a tourist. Please do not wear those glasses unless you are in a resort or something. They are perfectly fine in the states, but those "gringo shades", above the knee shorts, boat shoes and DSLR are going to make you a target in certain areas.

Wrap-arounds, bermudas and white running shoes surely make you more of a target.

+ That's how I'd generally stereotype an American Tourist. With an ill-fitting short sleeved shirt.

Ew. Anyway, they'll be used to the spring-breakers anyway :S.

The packing looks fine. Would suggest a light knit but I'm sure it'll be too hot.
