Was just doing some cruising and happened to drop in on PLal. They now have large high-res. photos of most C&J's--very nice. I also noticed a new 3 eyelet handgrade boot, not listed in the 04-05 catalogue (is there a newer one out?), the Sandown, on the 337 last. I want. I don't remember them listing specials before, but now they are, on a few returned/ unclaimed pairs (one of them a pair of 6.5 snuff Chilterns I exchanged a while back). Here's the big news though: also offering a  bunch of pairs of benchgrades in 7.5E only, $500. for 3 pairs. Not quite the deal that Chris has offered w/ Grenson's, but the selection is really quite good, IMO. No doubt I would scoop up 3 pairs of these in a heartbeat (missed by a half size, dang). Anyway, some of you lucky 8/8.5 D's U.S. should have a field day (norcalt.?) here: http://www.plal.com/cjspecial.htm disclaimer- no affiliation w/ P.Lal other than being a satisfied customer.

I would like to order. Do these fit like 8s or 8.5s? I wear an 8.5. U.S.

I am a 7.5 U.S. and found the 6.5 U.K. too snug, though some here go with a full size lower with C&J benchgrades. I ended up exchanging the 6.5's for 7's which I found more comfortable.

Naturally, this is one of the downsides to purchasing online, particularly since the seller in this case is located in Malaysia.

True about the Malaysia point, also annoying that you can't just order online. Also, I wouldn't want to buy three, but one or two at most. Particularly these: [IMG] It's a style that Grenson makes too, so perhaps I'll cross my fingers and wait for Bennies to get the new shipment.

Hee hee, good thing I turned down Mr. Doshi's initial offer to buy the Chilterns. Now I can get them at $50 off. [IMG]

I have the tobacco-colored reverse-seude shoes in the pic, with the cap toe. Very nice.

Hmm, was kinda pondering the Audleys in 10E, is that a 10.5D US approximately? I was thinking this may be too narrow as I am usually more like a 10.5E/11D.
