Oxxford ties-what's the story?

The Oxxford ties I've seen are pretty nice, but a little wide for my taste. I think they are almost 4" if not 4". There are other brands of ties that are just as nice though. Usually wool ties are for the colder months.

I have one Oxxford tie that was made by Drakes. It's very nice if a little pricey.

Yeah, they were not what you'd call thin. Then again I prefer the "typical" tie width.

The ones made in England by Drakes are very nice. Some are made in the US (not sure by whom) and tend to be thicker. They have Italian-made ones too (unknown maker), which are also nice.

Like most Oxxford stuff, they are well made. Like most ties nonetheless, it's a matter of finding ones you find attractive. I would probably pay $50 for one I liked.
