Just wondering what their price range was?
I think the floor price is $2,400.
What model and what fabric can you get for that price, Manton?
Well, I have never used the program; others here have. I believe you can get any model (two-piece). The cloth selection is not great, however. But then it isn't great even at the upper levels. They now offer Holland & Sherry, because they are now owned by the same company. That is the top end. I don't know what it costs.
Prices for their base fabrics as of earlier this year were $2395 for a 2 piece suit. The fabrics in this range were fairly limited and very unspectacular (mainly 9oz basic patterns). Anything better or more interesting was much more expensive. Even the LP Super 120s was about $3200 and that cloth is not the best. The Holland & Sherry ranges were as expensive, if not more so.
this should give you an idea of the cost of the varying fabrics for basic oxxfords. http://www.directclothiers.com/default....word=ww
Thanks - pretty pricey for MTM Panzer
I'd imagine Oxxford MTM with H&S fabric to be a VERY nice suit, though.
Agree with Koji. I saw some of the H&S cloths recently at Oxxford. But the prices approach those of bespoke suits.
As many astute people have mentioned re: MTM suits, it depends on who's doing the fitting, and from what I observed, I would trust the Oxxford gents implicitly in this regard.
How bad can someone screw up MTM? I've never seen them do anything more than a few basic measurements (chest, shoulders, waist) and note your posture and shoulder slope.
Oh, you'd be surprised (and shocked/horrified) at some the screwups I've heard from people.
In fact, I know very few people personally that have been happy with MTM. Screwups happen all the time. Frankly, if you are close to be a good RTW fit, I recommend you go RTW vs. MTM. After my numerous bespoke misadventures, I am learning to appreciate RTW more and more. And I am a difficult RTW fit.

Trust me - I've had MTM jobs from Barneys (Hickey) and Brooks Brothers (Digital Tailoring) that aren't even half as good as a decent RTW suit.
