Hi, everyone
I browse many sites, and it said that you should not wear oxford shoes with jeans, but I'm confused
what if I wear a pair of indigo or black slim or regular fit jeans with oxford shoes for casual?

And, if the oxford shoes with brougues, is it acceptable in casual scene

It depends on the shoe and the jeans. A non-black semi brogue or a black wingtip can work just fine with nice, darker jeans.

No brogues with jeans the traditional rule without doubt, but I agree with EZB’s view on how that practice has evolved.

At the same time, true oxfords have become a rarity in a lot of environments, to the point that few know either that rule, or even the definition of an oxford. So I have occasionally experimented, here in So Cal, with wearing Church’s cap toe oxfords with slightly contrasting laces and dark dress jeans. A high/low combo that makes me feel a slight frisson of transgression, but the fashion police have not knocked on my door yet.

I'd also add that some oxfords are ALWAYS ok with jeans, such as suede oxfords.

Point is when the environment requires a suit, people care and know what shoes you should wear. When you can pass wearing jeans, people usually don’t care or don’t know what is oxfords. Therefore, it’s always okay to wear formal shoes but usually not okay to wear casual shoes

Not the best color match, but suede oxfords with jeans:
