Welcome to Styleforum Carlo. Both pictured shoes are oxfords. I never knew Woody Allen wore shoes like this. I too would like to learn more as to why he did.

Those are bluchers, not oxfords. They're just wide, squarish, orthopedic-looking plain toe bluchers (or derbies). You can probably find a dozen similar models at any mall.

Johnny law is correct...they are bluchers. I was so taken back at the, er...substantialness of the shoes that I lost my sensibilities whilst typing my initial response.

but seriously, don't pay money for those. Or wear them if given. Of if paid. Just walk away from them. Barefoot, if need be. They are very unattractive.

They are very unattractive shoes, but maybe you need them for a foot condition or something. My father-in-law used to wear shoes almost exactly like that due to his diabetic neuropathy. Just google "shoes for diabetic neuropathy" and you'll get a bunch of results like these Hush Puppies:

In all seriousness, what about some sort of military service shoe?

Brands like Guidi or M.A.+ make very high quality shoes with a simple design and wide, bulbous toe, but I don't get the impression that that's what you're after.

Yes, but if you see, Woody Allen's shoes has square toe with thick and wide sole. I found 1 month ago a couple of To Boot New York on ebay but I didn't bought them! I'll post the pic today. Thank you, anyway I accept every kind of brand, not only Italian.
