Over the knee socks that do not show any skin

I just got my first pair of Mazarin socks from Mes Chaussettes Rouges and I couldn't be happier with the service or quality but I find the socks too see-through for my tastes (especially as I am pretty pale).

Does anyone have a suggestion of a sock that is decent quality and goes over the calf but will not show any skin through a dark sock? I am happy to go with Mes Chaussettes Rouges but it wasn't clear to me which socks would have a denser weave.

The Gammarelli / Mazarin socks are vastly overrated imo. Look for OTC socks from Bresciani, which are of much better quality and sold by several online retailers (Howard Yount, Berg & Berg, ASW, etc.)

Presume you mean over the calf socks (over the knee is a whole different thing and a different part the forum). If you want thick, try Nagrani - not everyone's taste but definitely thicker than most OTC socks.
