Ya I just got the slim Ds and the fabric is a bit listless... but after wearing those and the 60/30s I am pretty sure that the climbers would look like compression tights on me -- can anyone speak to the general slimness of the climbers compared to the 60/30s or slim Ds?

i would've probably just picked up some new OGs but according to outlier those aren't getting restocked for another 6-8 weeks :(

Climbers are very slim, the cut is the only one out of all outlier clothing that works on me. Im skinny and sized up one so they didnt look like tights, really like how the tts ones hugged my ass though.

^ thanks for the input... are the climbers slim all the way through or just in the knee => ankle taper? i was looking at the actual measurements on the site and they're very similar to the 60/30s; the only really significant difference is in the ankle opening. the new OGs are actually a good bit slimmer in the thigh, which surprised me...

I exchanged new OGs for Climbers because of pocket flare on the former. Climbers are much slimmer in the leg at my true size (31), slightly loose in the waist. actually perfect. no pocket flare problem with the Climbers despite being slimmer fit. I also squat so there's that.

Yea, everything pocket flares if you squat. I've embraced it.

For the OGs its just the cut, it sucks. I had major pocket flare and my thighs are nowhere near thick or big.

imho the old 4season og's had better cut than new og's.
Sadly climbers are just way too slim for me, nycos too rough and 60/30 a bit boxy in the thigh, but tailored og's fit perfect.

^ thanks for the help gents... might try a pair of climbers just to see, and size up. if they don't work they've got a pretty solid return policy, so not a huge risk..

man. i've been lurking this thread for a while. i just got the NYCO slims in 28//olive drab and I absolutely love the fit, feel, and utility of them. like a better fitting Urban Slim Fit from Jcrew that resists liquids and feels durable. perfect for fall.

so my deal is that i've been eyeing the climbers for a while now. i have been on the checkout page numerous times but am having a tough time committing to $225 plus shipping...

can anyone who owns the climbers speak to how they like the pants now, after xx months/years owning them?

i live an active lifestyle, work on my feet, bike commute everyday, hike, skate occasionally, and am generally a marriage of style+function kind of dresser. the climbers are extremely attractive for that lifestyle, just ...ya know...the price.

let's hear it: how they living up? worth every penny? leave something to be desired? stylin' or not so much? too slim or just right?

Think of it as different cut for OG. Climbers are not for climbing (I am sure you read this part by another forumite in this thread, as I have asked the same question before), its just named that way because the fit is in mind for climber-ish body shape

, in contrast to kirins I believe.
I feel like you are wondering if you can get most out of the pants, especially when you mention the whole active lifestyle spiel because, well, hike and skate shouldn't really be relevant when you are contemplating on a pair of dressier casual pants. If you go hike, like real one, this is a wrong forum to ask for pants recommendation. Skate, slip or fall once believe me it will leave noticeable scars depending on the color. Still, as far as "style + function" the whole bottoms department of Outlier is unbeatable in their price point. Sure there are brands with better quality and fit just as good, which you can actually wear to harsh activities and look well at the same time but you will have to drop $$$ many times more than what you pay for the climbers.

I wear my old OG pants climbing all the time. Also for biking. I like them, but I guess they've upped the price these days

Just throwing this out there, but I'm looking for a Pivotal Bomber in slate/large. Interested in black as well if the price is right.

Anyone interested in buying a pair of Slim Dungs in 30/31? Neither quite fit me right. 31 has been worn a litlte but looks like nice. 30 I've just tried on and never worn outside of the house. Both are in black..

Did you get them altered or something? They have a pretty awesome return policy that's for like 45 days.

Just wondering-- what companies are you referring to that are similar to Outlier but cost a lot more money?

Also FWIW I think I remember reading on their site that "climber" refers to cycling hills
