I know we have our daily wear thread and the occasional comments about Scotts wonderful work but I thought it would be nice to have a central thread dedicated to the discussion of outfits from fit, to color combinations, to fabric choices.

I'll start it off with this picture of the elder Elkann.

FWIW, my wife says that this is exactly how a man should dress.

He needs a V neck.
I solid light blue shirt.

Then he's ideal.

simple, comfortable and fitted. Colors seem a bit dull though, I'd have to throw in a bit of color myself.

I agree. I'm going to wear basically this same outfit tomorrow (the second pic) but with a much more colorful tie.

There is nothing in this pic I would like to try myself.

The jacket and sweater are both too heavy for my tastes (at least in that combo). The shirt collar is tucked in on one end and left hanging out on the other end of the sweater. The fit of the jacket doesn`t look so good either.

I like this a lot. It never occured to me to use a sweater to tone down some of my louder shirts. I think I'll do it today.

minus points for the square.

Collar in or collar out but not halfway.
