Can anyone comment on the FW shield canvas jacket? Afraid it's not gonna be warm enough for cold winters compared to down parkas.

Can't comment on the one from this season, but I bought the model they had last year and it worked great for me in the scandinavian winter last year.

Are you supposed to size down for OL parkas? Looking at the splash blizzard parka and shield jacket.

I'd say you'd be ok not sizing down, the shield jacket fits very nicely to size, and though the splash blizzard parka is a little more oversized fitting, you might want the room for a sweater or thicker layer since it just has a thin quilting inside.

I tried on the red raw silk shirt the other day and it was just fantastic all round, the fit was the perfect amount of slouch and the material is gorgeous. I think I may buy it if it goes on sale but I don't know what raw silk will be like to clean, can anyone who owns this it or an item of a similar material comment? I presume it's a hand-wash only and be very careful with type deal?

Also do any other brands stock shirts in a similar material? I just want to see if I have any other options to weigh up.

^^ I machine wash (40degees Celsius)/ hang dry my black raw silk shirt. It gets stiff when newly dried but softens up after a while..

The instructions say dry clean only, so I imagine that would be the recommended method. Anything else ymmv

I tried on the shield parka a little while back, it feels very solid and seems like it would be quite warm. I imagine it's made for those cold swedish winters, it did fit rather large though. The padded liner / inner jacket thing is pretty cool but doesn't look all that great on its own.

Sounds good, I think I'll wait until the END sale or something, that's fairly soon around the corner I imagine.

If it was 46 I'd be sold, I'm looking for a buttoned shirt to wear with the rainbow jacket and that looks perfect.

Anyone have info on the fit for this year's herringbone coat? I'm hesitant about buying from overseas if I'm not sure about the fit. Thanks!

Strongly recommended. It's really well made and substantial, feels like it can take a beating. Very warm too. I'm 5'11 and 150 lbs and the small fits nicely - sleeves SLIGHTLY short and the body is cropped, but that's more just the style. Overall slim feel to it, but still has the bulkiness of a traditional surplus MA-1. Worth the price at retail and definitely if you can find it on sale

Nevermind. Should've just clicked one page back lol

Hey guys, looking for the seasons for these two OL shirts. Both are likely pre '12.

This one's a Placket Buttondown of Japanese fabric

Also a Placket Buttondown called "Ethnic Check"

Anyone else pick this up? Against better judgement I just grabbed it. I've waited way too long for a well-made slim olive ma-1 for under 400 bucks. Maybe could've waited or a sale, though.

Was able to snag the last 40 from The Corner for $267 shipped with their current 40% off code PRIVATESALE

Very excited to get it in
