If I were looking to party in Ottawa, I would cross the bridge and think about Hull, Quebec.

I was thinking about it. Anyone ever been to the Lac Lemy New years eve party at the Casino?

Any suggestions over in quebec?

I have been to many in ottawa over the years. They are ok. Nothing special. I was looking at the penthouse "On top of the world" Crowne Plaza Hotel new years eve party. But i am doubtful.

Anyone ever been or live in ottawa and have some suggestions?

Ottawa is a good place for raising kids in a clean, safe, suburban environment. There's lots of parks and green space. It's not known for excitement. Consider that the biggest employers are the federal government and Nortel and you'll start to understand. ;p

There will be some good local indie bands at Zaphod's and over at the Black Sheep in Wakefield...if you are into that kind of thing.

The problem is that most people live out in the burbs and therefore do not venture into the downtown at night
