i have a 16" neck and a 36.25" sleeve. Jos A Banks has some shirts with a 36" sleeve that fit fine. Ike Behar has some with 16" and 37" sleeve but that is a little too long. i'm looking for a slim fitting shirt and am tempted to order a few of the brooks brothers' slim fits in a 16", 36", since they do not have a longer sleeve length for my neck size.

any other suggestions?

depends on your chest and waist size. i wear a 16 x 36 BB slim fit, and it works well for me - the BB slim fit is probably the single most common shirt i have in my closet. but i'm a 42 chest and a 35-36 waist. if you're more like a 38 or 40 chest and a 30-33 waist, you might find it to be too loose.

You could try Land's End -- they have 'trim fit' shirts, and a very forgiving return policy. They also have a made to measure program. And then there's also Jantzen, if you're not in a rush.

I have the same problem. I'm 15.5 and about a 36. The best OTR shirts I have found are from seize sur vingt. They are slim fitting, well made, and come in a variety of fabrics. They have many, many more shirts than are shown on their website, so just email and ask. The only problem is that the shirts tend to be cut a little on the short side, so that you can wear them tucked or untucked, which I don't like because who wants to wear their shirt untucked (not me)? They make a slightly longer version that have two buttons on the cuffs rather than one, but don't advertise this.

Thomas Pink has shirts in your measurements too and they are decent on sale. Even the regular fit shirts are pretty slim. I know people around here deplore the plastic buttons but the shirt fits.

I hate the Brooks slim fit shirts because they are all non-iron, and that non-iron coating makes the cotton stiff and cheap looking.
