For Spring Summer 2015 we have drawn inspiration from photographer Jackie Nickerson’s first body of work, Farm, a project that spanned a three-year period following the life of working people in the rural locations of Southern Africa. These workers were seen to take particular pride in their appearance and dressing for work was carefully considered. They made many of their own clothes or bought them in markets with the idea that clothes were adapted for the job in hand but had a close connection between the aesthetic and the practical.

We mixed the looked to the fifties style bowling shirt shapes giving a nod to the Malawi male workers and are updated in over dyed polka dot and broken fifties checks. With direct inspiration for both the men’s and women’s 50’s duster and lab coats, taken from Nickerson’s images and re worked in Italian and British over dyed silks and airtex cottons. Layering all these elements with technical sports fabrics to give a cleaner silhouette.

Hi Guys - Just a quick note to say that our latest stock of Novesta Footwear is now online and in store.

They're selling pretty quickly already so if you would like a pair please give us a shout.

We appreciate the costs to shipping to the USA maybe high for a low value item and we're doing all we can to get this down.

Hoping to announce some better rates next week...

    Cheers, O/s

From Small beginnings Novesta’s story was born in the late 1930′s when Jan Antoin Bata – a shoemaker, opened his own factory in a small town in Slovakia. To this day, their master craftsman work with Bata’s upmost regard for quality that has stood the test of time and proven to be desirable throughout countries worldwide.

Novesta pride themselves on the fact that all their sneakers are still handmade in Slovakia, using only natural materials processed by the same machinery as their forefathers used. The enviromental process for production creates the signature white rubber line due to no glue being used to cement upper to sole.

    Hi Guys,

Wanted to let you all know about the recent collaboration between OTHER/man and London shirt brand TRIPL STITCHED which is now available for purchase.

TRIPL STITCHED is a new men’s shirt brand that is designed and manufactured in its own factory in London creating contemporary casual shirts using vintage machinery.

Driven by the desire to bring back premium shirt production to the UK, over the last 10 years TRIPL STITCHED have sourced, shipped and restored shirt-making machines from around the world. These machines are not as quick as their modern counterparts but the finished garments that they create have a character and finish that sets them apart from their peers.

As a supporter of new brands we are always keen to work with like-minded craftspeople that have an appetite for fine detail. With a penchant for British manufacturing we have worked together to create a men’s capsule shirt collection, which blends signature characteristics of fabrics, silhouettes and fine details. The concept will continue as a component of the existing OTHER/man stock-line and will be updated each season. As a continuous collaboration the line will carry exclusive TRIPL STITCHED OTHER/man branding.

The shirts are made from 100% cotton with an unwashed, cleaner fabric to that of the TRIPL STITCHED original. A looser silhouette has been crafted with an extended tail, a bluff edge collar and cuff and a concealed button-down detail. A signature detail that runs through each style is a contrasting triple stitching, which is a noticeable element from the TRIPL STITCHED branding. The shirts have a minimal and serene aesthetic, which has been designed to work as a casual layer shirt or tucked in to create a smarter sartorial image.

Link to the collection here - http://www.other-shop.com/brands/men/tripl-stitched.html

    Thanks, O/s

    Hi @Superb0bo

Thanks for your enquiry. The measurements are as follows:

Inside leg of a Karl is 79CM (but they have a very low rise so this is not a true leg length)
From waist band to bottom hem measures 112CM so would easily fit up to a 87CM leg.

    Joseph measures as follows:

    Chest - 62cm
    Length - 81cm
    Under Arm - 55cm

    Hope this helps.

^^Thanks! The measurments for the shirt suggests its very oversized. I´m 6¨4 with an approx 45 inch chest, would a L be better?

Apologies, I'd been sent the wrong info.

    Hi,

I am curious about the sizing of your own brand's pants and would be glad if you could provide measurements for the Edward trousers in size M and L.

I am interested in the following:

    - Waist (laid flat, straight and aligned)
    - Front rise length
    - Back rise length
    - Thigh width from crotch seam
    - Hem width

Also, which size would you recommend me with a 34" waist where I wear pants (about 33" if I wear them higher) but built legs (26" circumference).
The problem I typically face is either too slim legs or too large waist. It seems like your pants are cut looser up top, why I wonder if I cut fit into a size M.

    Thanks!
