Does the SF15 code still apply? Only reason I ask is that every time I have tried it recently it briefly goes though and shows the discount, but never applies by checkout.

For Georgia in summertime, I would say the ripstop is the only move. Living in Hawaii, the Trooper Fatigue shirt is way more wearable than all my reverse sateen stuff during the day when right on the coast.

Anyone have actual sizing on the New Yorker ribstop pants? I’m seeing different sizing on various websites. Being on the taller side 6’4 I’m mainly worried about the inseam. I know they are intended to be worn higher than normal pants but 29’ may be a little short? For reference im usually a 34 X 34. Thanks for any insight as this would be my first Orslow purchase

I would say a size 4 should be just about right. As they have an elastic band, measurements no doubt will be all over. Might want to go with a 5 should they have a slightly longer length which at least with the denim and army fatigue stuff they do.

@yeknal Size 4 will fit your waist.
Both size 4 & 5 New Yorkers tend to run at 30-30.5" inseam.
However, you should also take into account the front rise is 13" on both sizes.
I would get someone who has a size 4 to measure the outer seam for you.

They may be a bit short on you depending on where on your hips they sit. I'm 5'11, 32/33 w and take a 3. The inseam is perfect -- it sits just at the top of low-cut sneakers with almost no stacking -- but I wouldn't want it any shorter. They sit just at my hips, for reference, but you could wear them slightly above the hip bone.

Get the size 4. I’m 6’2, 175lbs, like a 32-33 waist. You might cinch ‘em a bit more, but the length will be great. Size 5 stands a high chance of being too large for you (I find as Orslow sizes grade up, they tend to get much larger).

Recently picked up a pair of New Yorker shorts in ecru ripstop, size 2.

Warning: long dorky review ahead

This is my first pair of New Yorkers and I was unsure on the sizing. Measurements are all over the place on various sites.

Ultimately, I went with a 2 because I have size 2 in orslow 107 one wash denim, 105 one wash denim and slim fit army pants (khakis) and all fit well.

My hesitation on the New Yorker was that some sites seemed to measure the waist as significantly smaller than other size 2 orslow (e.g., 29 instead of 32). I’m typically a 32 in most brands.

In the end, I was really overthinking it and the size 2 is perfect. There is a pretty wide range in the elastic waist and the draw string is good for fine tuning

The rise— especially the back rise— is really generous so the shorts feel loose and allow good freedom of movement

The length on me is just to the top of the knees (I’m 6’0,165 lbs). Probably depends on how high up on your waist you wear the shorts though. Again, because of the elastic and draw string you can position the waist differently depending on your preference

The taper to the leg opening is nice and even though there is good looseness in the seat and crotch the shorts don’t appear overly baggy due to the taper.

Other details: the zipper is high quality, the pockets seem slightly deeper than the usual tiny orslow pockets

The ripstop fabric is a nice lighter weight. It’s not so light weight that it feels like shirt fabric though- it still has some heft and hangs like shorts should.

The ecru color is not my absolute favorite but I got these on sale. Has a slight yellow tinge. Now that I’ve tried them and like the cut/details, I will probably add a pair of the khaki or olive green shorts.

Nice write up. I have almost pulled the trigger on those same shorts several times in ecru lately. Think I might go ahead and do so.

On the shorts front, on Friday I dropped off my pair of regular fit army fatigues to have made into shorts. For whatever reason, the slim fit seem to be the way to go for me and I never wore these. As I wear Patagonia Stand Up shorts almost daily year round living in Hawaii, went with a 7 inch inseam or so which is a bit shorter than OrSlow’s version. Fingers crossed.

I've got both the shorts and pants and wear them consistently all summer

Guys I need help with sizing. I do not have any OrSlow pants and I do not have any local store to try them on. I am 5"11 and currently 192lbs. Athletic built, strong legs and slimmer waist. Usually I am 33-35 in denim, but waist 32. I have stronger legs so most denim that fit me in the legs is 1-2 size too big in the waist so I wear belt most of the time. I would like to buy 107s in 2 year wash but can not decide between 3 and 4. Leaning more towards 4. Will be probably the best to order both from Mr.P and return the one that doesn't fit.
Also regarding the Army shirt I guess size 4 should be fine? I wear 42 in The Real McCoy's.

I wear similar sizes to you.
I got the 105 in 3 and it's fine. I had tried the 107 in 3 and couldn't wear them. But they wear the raw ones. I have the black 107 in 3 and they fit, but quite snuggishly.
I'd think the 107 would work best for you in 4. But not sure about how they fit in that wash.

I also wear RMC in 42 and have the shirt in 4 and it fits well. Not too big.
