Orphaned Jackets & Drop on Sport Coats???

You are misquoting me. What I said was:



To me, there is a big difference between what I said and your inference. I have jackets, including a RLPL, that I know are not orphans and have 4 button sleeves. Similarly, I own suits that came with 3 button sleeves. But still, in my experience, jackets with 4 button sleeves and an unknown provenance are more likely to be orphans than actual sport coats.



I'm not quite understanding the second part of your statement and don't see how the drop would help a shop clerk. I'm also wondering how do the labels say "jacket"? I've never seen this.
