Can anyone tell me about the fit of the orig penguin polos and any other info-- I am thinking about ordering one or two as golf shirts for this summer. Thanks.

If by orig you mean from the 60's-70's, I found them to be short and boxy (but then I'm tall with a 10 inch drop). I prefered the French made Chemise Lacoste.

Penguin polos are good for a few months but tend to stretch out awkwardly in weird places. (anyone else experience this?) Plus the style is kinda played now... Although if I were a golfer, Penguin would actually be my first choice.

I am referring to the ones produced now that are only called "original penguin".

I've got a few, they seem to ligthweight for golfing, i am a golfer, but if it is really hot, it DOES provide circulation. I'd buy them.

I like the original penguin polos. The fabric is merely OK, but I like the retro style.

They're cut for slim folks. I wear a 3 (xs) in Lacoste and a medium in original penquin.

The black label clothes are supposed to be nicer, but I've never seen any. STP has some black label polos on sale.

I like the penguin's slim fit and retro look. The quality is just alright on their mesh polos. I get mine for $19.99 at Nordy Rack, well worth it at that price. On their more t-shirt like polos, the things will fade after 3 washes and air dries. Lacoste is pretty nice, and I wear a 4, but a large in penguin. Just got my first authentic Polo brand polo in the mail and the custom fit medium fits quite nicely.
