Hey everybody, the jeans that i'm after can only be found on Rakuten and Levi's Japan Store. Is anyone willing to order them for me and send them on for a price to the UK? Im not sure how that would work as I havent done it before. Any help is welcome.

Quick question, how much did that sweatshirt end up costing you?

Great service with sharp service. Very simple and straightforward ordering process. Hide will reply to your emails almost immediately. Happy to say I've found a reliable japan proxy. Keep up the good work Hide!

Not to do a thread revival, but I thought I'd add to a pre-existing thread.

Anyway, I went through Rakuten, signed up as a member, adding things to my cart, and checked out (it was a bit bumpy, but I got through it). Anyway, after all this, the individual merchant contacted me and asked for payment via paypal. I'm not suspicious of the vendor at all, but I was just wondering if anyone know how Rakuten works. I had assumed that it'd just be billed to my credit card, but maybe it's not set up to handle overseas orders (to the US).

    Anyone with experience? Thanks

I have tried doing the checkout process at Rakuten several times (for shipment to my address the US). The system accepts the order and then a couple days later I always receive an e-mail which is either entirely in Japanese (or sometimes in broken English) saying the shop does not do international orders and that my order has been canceled.

I finally gave up and just use SharpService for everything. Hide's fees are very low and it's nice knowing if there are any problems or questions that he can contact the shop directly and talk to them in Japanese for me.

I agree that the checkout process at Rakuten is confusing. It took numerous attempts for it to go through. Ultimately, when it did, I wasn't quite sure why the last attempt worked, but it did. After that, I was contacted directly from the store (in English, not perfect, but quite understandable). After that, it was pretty straightforward. I paypal'ed them and they sent a confirmation email. The place I ordered from seemed quite happy to fulfill an international order. That said, as I have reasonable skills in Japanese, the communication wasn't that problematic, but if you can't read/write Japanese, I can see how the process would be daunting.
